Performance and Drivability

While there are noticeable differences in interior and exterior layouts, the engine is the same across the lineup. The new Niro EV comes with a 64.8 kWh battery with a driving range of around 407 km. It has a battery heating system, which is quite handy in winter.

The energy consumption stays at about 2.3 Le/100 km on highways and 1.9 Le/100 km in the city. The single-speed reduction gear transmission is also standard for all models. In the fast charge mode, you can charge it up in about 40 minutes.

Interior Design

SUVs are all about space and comfort; the new Niro won’t disappoint you. After all, comfort is a standard feature on all Kia models. This lineup has heated front seats, foldable rear seats, and a tilt-telescoping steering wheel. The flagship model is ready to face the elements, with heated rear seats and air-cooled front seats. All models come with a rear-floor heating duct.

Exterior Design

The Kia Niro models are similar, apart from some slight differences. Body-coloured door handles are available for almost every model but the Limited. However, the Limited is the only trim with power-folding side-view mirrors and a sunroof. Anyway, all models have privacy tint glasses and acoustic laminated windshields. You can also tell the Limited from the rest for its black and chrome coating radiator grille.

Technology and Infotainment

It’s hard to tell the best from the rest when all trims have luxury features as default. All models have a 10.25-inch touchscreen display. Kia Connect, and SiriusXM satellite radio. Luxury features reserved for the top trim include an electro-chromatic rearview mirror, a head-up display, and a Digital Key 2 Touch.

Safety Features

The new Kia Niro includes a few standard safety features on the list. There’s blindspot monitoring, RCAA, ABS, and smart cruise control. There are seven airbags in all vehicles. The Limited stands out, as it’s the only trim with rain-sensing wipers, rear parking collision assist, and front parking sensors.
